Wonderful fish Graeme. I have 3 Y. caudipunctata at the moment and to note, mine look alot less elongated, more like a Y. modesta in shape that Y. lecontei. Definetly same coloration and the like though. Mine spar with a lone Y. eos thats in the tank but otherwise don't really bother other fish that are in there (B. striata, Arulius barbs, and red eye congo tetras).
An article is coming out in TFH regarding them so keep posted!
Y. caudipunctata is definetly one of the more interesting fish. They are one of the few members of the Yasuhikotakia genus that lie on their sides like almorhae and macracantha do.
They are also definetely alot more active during the day time than other members of their genus.
You will enjoy them immensely.
