yea, this heater is eheim's jager, supposed to be able to control within 0.5 degrees. oh, maybe they meant degrees C. times 2. well, sometimes.

I'm also disappointed about Jaeger. I bought one a couple of months ago and I can see water condensation inside. The shop keeper assured me that that's not a problem (well, it does work) but I never observed it in other heaters.greenbaron wrote:my guys experienced a move back in 89, 5 hours in a cooler! they didn't eat for about a month but other than that I don't recall any ill effects... they've only had one move since then, and it was of much shorter duration. they really are hardy fish...

The heater I'm replacing with this new one was an older ebo jager- it showed some condensation thru out its lifetime, even turned a little crusty white at the end. I used it for many years, it was working when I replaced it and in fact, better than the one I replaced it with! So unless it looks excessive, or seems to increase, you're probably ok... I mean, there's air in there, they don't pull a vacuum when they seal it I'm guessing, so there's the opportunity for condensation...andre wrote: Surely if there is humidity inside it's not 100% water tight, is it?
