Nothing new Today. I crashed early last night. Tonight's bowling night, so I probably won't have anymore pics of videos until the Saturday or Sunday. I'll check my canister filters then also.

I might have a solution to the lighting issue. I'm thinking of rope lights on a dimmer switch.

Anyone ever try that before? I guess it's worth a try.

Well that didn't work. The dimmer the light gets, the more choppy the video quality gets.

This is exciting! I spent some time the last couple of days studying webcams trying to figure out what kind to buy. What kind did you get? The videos look good.

I got the Creative Live Cam Notebook for $36 at Circuit City. I bought it on impulse and should of shopped around a little more. I could of had a way better deal for about the same quality at Kmart or Walmart.

A big problem with the webcam I got is that the cable is only about 2 ft long. Other webcam's sometimes have 6ft long cables. Problem #2 is that a good usb cable extension costs $20 to $30.

I'll probably end up getting another webcam or 2 before it's all said and done. Probably a cheap one from Walmart and probably a more expensive one that can get better quality shots with less light. I'll have to do some research to find what I want.

That's neat idea. I'll get a live streaming video at my website if I can do it for free.

Thanks chefkeith. I am also looking for something that has a long cable (using a USB cable extender) or preferably hooks directly into a network with RJ-45 cable.

Time to check the canister filters. I set up a 10 gallon dump tank that I'll just empty the dirty water into.

edit-
Live update
There are 6 canisters to check.

canister # 1- nothing but 1 MTS
canister # 2- something is moving! but what is it?... dropped canister top in q-tank.... got lucky it didn't break.... found one huge cherry shrimp.
canister # 3- nada. This one is clean.
canister # 4- nothing again. I was hoping #2 had something more in it. The intake for the filter was located right where all the loach action was earlier this week. It's very doubtful the last 2 filters have anything. I'll check them anyway.
canister # 5- zip.
canister # 6- zilcho.

I'll let the dump tank incubate for a few days before I empty it.

On another note,
I'd try to shot some more video's, but the clowns have been spending a lot of time in the caves.
