I only keep 5 but I have one that is the oddball out. I used to think he was a loner and was by himself all the time. Well he was by himself whenever I saw him but I attribute it to the loach being young as now he is right next to the others and is just peachy. I have 2 of the 5 that are littler than that particular loach and they are now doing the same thing alone perched all over the tank only schooling sometimes (could be just one but they look so alike I can't tell). Well the joke in this house is that the little ones/lower totem pole ones are sent out to play lookout for the others :lol:.
The only fights I see are definate dominance issues and the most damage that is ever done is a little scuff of the slime coat.
