I kept an eye on those "stubs" on my clowns (and other botia kinds) and examined them closely year(s) ago. Mine did not have any that time. Yesterday, I did some more detailed check again and found that 3 of 6 clowns developed them. The largest (alpha 5"TL) did not grow any, but one of the babies, who reached by now approx 2"TL shows indication, the other babie does not.Emma Turner wrote: ... If you look at the top of her ventral (pelvic) fin, you can see a kind of 'skin flap'.
Here it is in close-up:
She has this on each side, and on closer inspection a few of my larger clowns have these. ... Anyone else notice this on any of their big clowns?![]()

The more slender ones don't show it, but the most fat and highest one (the alpha) does not show it neither

Thought I let you know and ask if there has new data become available in the meantime about those stubs?
Thanks a bunch (or more
