cascading waterfall Loach rivertank

Hi Martin I am now curious about your idea. You sound like you know your stuff on rivertank setups. I mysely have a high budget plan for a continous flow system tank, totally different than this one. I can only dream about it now. This is real exciting stuff to me. BTW, I calculated the flow based on the amount of water in the back compartment of the tank. The back has approx 23-24 gallons of water, remember the tank is not filled all the way. The 950GPH pump will turn around the rear section over 40 times in an hour. I am planning on adding anouther pump. But first, I must observe the behavior of the loaches. I totally want it to be a gusher. One advantage of having the filtration seperate and the pump in the water without any connections is the ability to maximize the potential of the pump.
120 gallon planted aquaponic tank with 10 clown loachs, first one since 1994, 1 modesta and 3 striadas.
I dunno what you mean by "spray foam." The backgrounds I was talking about can be found here:Vancmann wrote:Hey pedzola, do you or anyone else know if that spray foam works for aquatic life purpouses? Does it leach? You had mentioned foam pangea.

It is a dutch company I believe. They make realistic looking backgrounds made from some kind of foam for aquariums. There is a local aquarium shop here in CT that carries them... they look pretty sweet.
I can only assume they are fish safe. lol
