All my fish seem to really enjoy Hikari Micro Pellets. The pellets are really small, almost like grains of sand. The fish, especially loaches, spend quite a bit of time hunting them all down. Maybe since your loaches are so tiny, they would like them, too. Just a thought. :)
Thanks Loachmom, I will pick some up for them. I wonder when they will stop hiding from me?

Kris,

I think it will just take time for them to feel secure.
We're they actually living in the fishbowl, or was that just used to transport them?

They were to be a gift from a young girl who obviously knew no better. I am not sure how long they were in there but I am assuming it was not for long. I think she thought they were just like goldfish, who knows, but I snagged them right up! They are too cute!

Yes, and they came out and danced and played around for me today...I am so happy to see the little guys!

Can't wait to get the big tank up and running for them.

I have spectrum thera +A sinking pellets. Apparently they have anti parasitic properties in them. They sink to the bottom and fall inbetween the gravel. The loaches love these the best. They always dig for the pellets. A little expensive but.....

I always read that loaches are a good indicator fish of disease. Usually showing signs first over other fish. Well, in two years, my loaches havn't showed signs of anything when the other fish did or died. I think these pellets may be doing the trick!
I use the one with the loach on the cover. Blue color on the bottle.
