Kubotai tankmate suggestions

Post by kc » Sat Oct 27, 2007 12:25 pm

I have two kubotai botias in a 30 long. I have a gravel substrate with a sandy beach in front. Other inhabitants include cardinal tetras, rasbora hets and honey gouramis.

I have a large piece of cast resin driftwood with lots of cavities. I'd like to add three rostratas that I previously shared with a friend who now needs the tank space and would like to give them back.

I loved the rostratas and would like to mix the two species. I can't afford more kuboais right now but am hoping these very similar species will enjoy each other's company.

Wait till you have enough money to buy the kubotais. They really need friends. Adding at least 3 more would be best. How many of each fish do you have in your 30 inch. Is it a 20 or 29 gallon?

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.

I agree! The different species tend to not interact all that much and having two of one species may lead to unpleasantness (one chasing the other all the time). Kubos can be found at decent prices so if you look around a bit you should be able to find some. I would say that 2 more kubo's would be fine if you are tight for cash and the ones you have would really appreciate it.
