Does striping pattern differentiate between sex?

I noticed icewalls pictures and ckk's pics with double striped clown loaches. I am noticing on a few of my loaches that as they mature some of the stripes are doing this very thing. Separating into double bands. Does this have anything to do with sex? Male or female? From observation I think I notice it on which loaches I believe are male. But this is all speculation. I really don't know which are male or female.

No. All clown loaches develop this as they grow, whatever their sex.

For example, here is the pic of Marge that I have in my avatar.
100% 'woman' (well female clown loach, at least!).
