This fellow is a beaut !! He's a full six inches and is out and about for all to see. Only problem is I'm not sure exactly which tiger loach he is.

I do not pay attention to names like many here so this is a guess....
Syncrossus berdmorei
Lets here from the people that take this part much more serious than I.....

i would say it's a S helodes by the markings on the belly.

Yes, that's definitely Syncrossus helodes. Keep a close eye on it as this is a very aggressive species that really does best with more robust tankmates.

Thank you for your replies and tips. He's in a 90g with some more peaceful style/type loaches and botias. So he will be monitored carefully and moved if he gets out of hand. I aquired him at this size, so Im guessing he's been around a few years, and his last owner kept him a smaller tank with semi aggresive s/a cichlids.

Yep, nasty indeed and he's now living in a 300g with some larger tankmates to keep him in check while he hunts for snails and wayword fry...
He took care of several cherry barbs, and dither fish I had in the tank. He then started to focus on my Striata.... so long Mr Tiger loach.
