They are so much fun!
What are the bulky stripey guys who ate down the middle? (Not the striata.) I am determined to learn who all these guys (species ID) are.

Mick, I have a very slow internet connection, but I was able to load half of the movie while getting the breakfast dishes done. You have lovely fish. I saw a gorgeous kubotai and lovely yoyos.
My only disappointment was that you didn't have a speaking part in the movie.

even i don't like hearing me speak, so why subject some other poor sod to it.
but you did hear my zippo lighter shutting.

I am so amazed those are Darios, since I have three. But of course, now I remember that whole discussion about how young and older fish can look pretty different. I will learn this stuff eventually. I recognized the Yoyos, since I have younger and older fish.
I would love to know how they click. First time I heard it, I thought they were smacking gravel against the glass. Then I realized they were clicking. I know I read that it could be their eye spines being popped, but I would think I would see them. I recently discovered that Clowns bite pretty hard. I was feeding mine a choice morsel and the clowns were so enthusiastic, they were biting my fingers. Didn't break the skin, but surprising.

I am sure you know about the basic fascination many Americans have with how people in the UK speak. I don't mean just England. Next time you video tape, let us hear you talk to your fish.

No, don't talk to the fish. They'd probably not appreciate it. Talk to us.

Great video Mick (you should quit smoking though

)! There was a kubotai coming in early in the video - exactly the same slanted markings in the middle as one of mine - perhaps they are related?
I can't get my striatas to take any interest in veggies at all. My clowns and kubos love zucchini, but my striatas will sniff it and then ignore it. When I feed them flakes or frozen shrimp or similar they are like shark in a feeding frenzy though.
