Several weeks ago a thread was generated which indicated that Black Kuhlis were available from PetSmart at a very reasonable price but unfortunately in West Texas (San Angelo) the PetSmart store could not even order them as their distribution warehouse did not order them.

I subsequently searched for another vendor with no joy (except for Liveaquaria).

I have reviewed many loach photographs and would like to purchase several Zebra Loach (Botia striata) with yellow/white stripes and blue body as they are very stunning fish.

Is a reputable vendor (or a member) for these loaches available in the US?

I know it's a few hours away from you, but Fintique in San Antonio sells black kuhli's for a very reasonable price. I purchased three from them a month or so ago. I don't remember the price exactly, but 3 loaches were less than $3. Unfortunately they are currently out of stock though.

I found another vendor for the Zebras but the background color is brown and I enjoy the blue background.

Does anyone breed Zebra Loach (Botia striata) or know where to purchase several which resemble

The fish in that picture is a full-grown adult. The stripes fill in as they grow. Young specimens have much more brown to them. Get 'em while you can and enjoy!

There's a reputable (though ive never personally ordered from him) seller in new york who ships nationally i believe. Frank's Aquarium.
