Modestas on flake complete with reflections and water spots. As you can see these fish are in the open under light and feeding well. They have cover but do not choose it very often.

A walk down the front side of my system , but many are hiding up front in the 150 but this will explain my layout. My fish are very active and bold mostly though. My large Rapheal is visible in the last tank slightly . The large Knife is named Tinman hence my screen id. This will become Loach habitat upon Tinmans demise as my loaches grow up over the next few years. I am hunting a huge bogwood for his tank at the end of his lease. It must be open and barren now as to not injure him . Loaches are in 3 of the 4 front tanks and the highlights for myself. I had two huge Eels in the last tank until 2 years ago but they do not live forever..... sigh

Although you know I'm not a fan of tanks without substrate and minimal cover (and I realise that not all of your tanks are set up without substrate), your fish really are in superb condition. No wonder you have the benches to sit back and admire them all.

How many clown loaches do you have in total? Are you going to bring them all together into one big happy family?

It is great to get a look at the 'real' Tinman at last - very impressive. 8) And I like the way Chico got a word in right at the end of the video! It's so great to be able to see into your secret hideout.

Thank You Emma....I only have three tanks substrate free now.The bench is a Catholic Pew(it has kneelers on the back) from the late 1800's. I have 15 Clowns and will bring them together soon. 12 up front and the big three at the back. The smalls are so small I am concerned about adding them with the large Dithers. These three large are the survivors of my original 25  that I had 10 years ago or so and are too big to keep with any rocks.......I am going to put all my Modesta and Almorhea together and move the Clowns all together but I really want three Turbelles 6100 or larger first and must make other changes....baby steps .I was making several mistakes with diet before I found you'all and although they look great I am not done making massive improvements and balance is hard to achieve across every tank. Here is an older vid of my baby Clowns with more commentary by Chico. These have been up and down but are doing well now,our available stock is nothing compared to yours  and I will not risk them now. The large Clowns really like to swim with the TinFoils ,they are very active all the time as opposed to when they lived with my large Bichir and just manuevered for position in a pipe all day....

I have kept many birds over the years training and trading them every year or two until my Daughter at age 5 or 6 freaked when I was going to trade this one. She can not concieve that notion of letting go and this hellraiser has been disturbing my fishroom ever since as that was 6 years ago.....One of my parenting mistakes in hindsight. I have often thought about a little squeeze  It is a personal test me thinks I hope to endure......

Yaah, I know Shari...its so obvious when on tape....some of my tanks are old and scratched ya know. I am headed down to clean today . My filters are all maintained better than the glass. Plus I have been finishing the rest of the basement as a viewing area /family room so I can have a spot for a BIG tank . :D

I guess you mean I need more Clowns ? I have them growing in another tank,I counted and have 15 others. The large Clowns had a 14 " Bichir they lived with until recently. There where two full grown 24" Eels there all so before the Tinfoils. The TinFoils are growing and get giant. Balance and safety are hard to achieve. When "Tinman" my old Knife passes I will have that large tank to combine my Clowns and by then my Silver Dollars may be done too as they are very old also ,then I will get smaller dithers. I have never thought I was understocked with my daily food bill

Hi Tinman,

I was talking about your last video. I could only see 2 small frenatus, 2 kubotais and the clown loaches. How big is that tank?
Maybe because mine is overstocked I found yours understocked.

150 US tall 4'x3'x30" me thinks with 15 small Clowns, Robusta my avatar, small eel, 5 Kubs, 5 Striatas, 5 rainbow sharks ,upside down cat, very old clown Pleco, Rubbermouth plecos,African Butterfly and Beauforti off my head. This tank flows 40 gallons a minute. I have 15 new Almorhae in QT for this tank also as my oldest and last just passed at age 8 yrs or so in this tank upon my return from England.

I regret to call your tank understocked!
Anyway, 800 Liters is not bad.

Congrats!
