Found some nice stuff. Photos of a few different loaches from Suriya river near Thai-Myanmar border. The hump-head glassfish following a loach around for food is interesting.

Wow! Absolutely stunning photos there Lerdsuwa. Not reading Thai, I'm guessing that some of them may be my friend Nonn Panitvong's. I see others are captioned with another name that I don't recognise.

FABULOUS

:)
Thanks so much for sharing that, that was a great photo tour
There's one pic in there that I think explains something I see in my tank. I have 2 SAE and 2 Gara Pingi Pingi, and they are almost always together. I see (I think?) a pic with Gara and SAE together there. Nice to know I might have them put together right

If Nonn wasn't directly involved, I bet he knows these people.

The photos were all from the same trip to the river but from many different photographers. It's one of few rivers in Thailand that flow back into Myanmar, and hence lots of Myanmar fishes rarely surveyed. Lots of later photos starting from the Garra + Crossocheilus photo was from Nonn.

Mr. Lerdsuwa thanks for bringing the link to this forum.
These pictures are from the second Suriya River survey. We went full-team this time, and managed to get atleast 5 new species and 1 new family record for Thailand and very much likely a few new fish species not known to sciene. Better yet, the Orchid team also discovered a new species of orchid not known to science on a lime-stone hill next to Suriya river. Un-known orchid is a little more difficult to come by compare to fishes as it has a much larger public interest. The forest in this area is UNESCO world heritage site and receive full protection from the government. You need a permit to enter this area hence, these fishes are save here!
More images from the trip by me and my friends in these 4 links.
More scenic and underwater photographs from the guy with the most artistic eyes and best camera among us.

"It's his website Mark."
Well, duh! Thanks, Mr. T., for the clarification, but we have looked at upwards of 30 pages of same on this forum over the years. Anyway, we now know that we both have the same information at hand.
