I currently have my loaches in a 55g with 120 g worth of filtration... how may loaches do you guys think i can keep in there? (fairly small ones...working on another upgrade) i've had some casualties over the last few months due to moving and whatnot...so i have 3 2"clowns, 2 2"-3" yo-yo's and one golden zebra who is growing quickly @ about 3" min...

I would work on a goal of half a dozen or so of each species, and a much larger tank for the Clowns.

I'll second that. Or find a bigger home for the clowns and get a different third species.

ya, i am planning to upgrade twice...first i'm going to get a 75g to put the clowns in or maybe all of them...not sure how i'm gonna divide them up yet but after i get the 75g up and running, i'm going to start looking for something more along the lines of 120g for my loaches...

i went out today and got 2 more clowns, 2 more yo-yo's and 2 zebras...that is a good start, and everyone seems happy. they are so tiny compared to the ones i got last year...i got a few more kuhli's too for my other tank...they are so cute...now i remember why i beleived the lady who told me i could keep a clown loach in a 10g when i got my 1st loach..lol...i know better now, it didnt' take me long to find this site and i'm sure my fish are very glad i did.....
