Season's Greetings everyone

I bought these 5 guys from my lfs just before Christmas and haven't been able to identify them. I have looked through the Loach Species index, but can't find a match. Sorry, but the photos are not very good and excuse the state of the glass... (They would only pose for a tummy shot on the sides of the tank which I don't clean so they can eat the algae).









Thats my largest Cheni on the leaf behind this one, suddenly looking very small!


The are between 2.5 and 2.75 inches long and as well as grazing over the glass and rocks they also like their veggies. I haven't seen them show any interest in either waffers or blood worm yet. They like to dig in the sand and they also have the lovely habbit of standing up on thier fins if they are watching something. In the lfs they were sharing a tank with some tiny Beaufortia kweichowensis and I haven't seen them show any aggressive or territorial behaviour either in the lfs or in my tank.

I hope you experts will know what they are.

sandra, i'm pretty sure they're Pseudogastomyzon fasciatus.
lets see what the experts think?

Look like Pseudogastromyzon fasciatus to me too. I had one single one once and it ruled the tank. Really nice looking specimens Sandra....You're very lucky.

Thank you very much for the ID. I had discounted Pseudogastromyzon Fasciatus as I didn't think the body markings looked right, but it is a very apt name considering the way they 'stand up' to look around.
