Just thought I would let you know I picked up 4 Sewellia lineolata today from Uncle Ned's. Fantastic little fish. They are already grazing on the algae covered rocks and wood!
Will they eat algae wafers? I bought some just in case they do.

Congratulations Mike!!
They have quickly become one of my favorite hillstreams.
As far as food goes, mine eat just about anything.
I feed them various brands of algae wafers, Omega One shrimp pellets, Hikari bloodworms, spirulina brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp as well as par-boiled spinach leaves.
They seem to adapt more quickly to prepared foods than most other hillstreams.
Good luck!!!

Thanks guys! Yea my 4 are already crawling all over the 80 gallon grazing on any stone or slate that seems to have algae on it...right at home! Ned said they werent taking algae wafers but only algae. I will drop some wafers in tomorrow and see what happens. It looks like the large one (about 2.5 inches) is a male. The other 3 small ones are 1.5 inches so I dont know if you can sex them at that size?

Congratualtions on a great find, Mike.

Once established they seem to show more interest in dried foods than they do algae or frozen foods. Mine go particularly mad for the JMC sinking catfish pellets we get over here.

Like one of my female P.cheni that was spawning with 2 different males at different nest locations on the same day!
You're going to love them Mike.
