Lost- timeline to real worry

Folks,
Against the recommendations of this wise group i did rescue the last of the little Y. modesta from a LFS. These 4 are the survivors of a meth-blue/green or so treatment of a couple of weeks ago. They're days were numbered in that place, but for now further disease had been controlled for. Much more active and happy-looking now.
And yes, i am closely monitoring for foolishness with angels, cat etc... and have removed/released the G. dormitor... who was getting a little big and hungry for comfort.
Problem: all very skittish with introduction. Fair enough. Did a little replanting over second day, and two nights ago all 4 were again dithering in the dark. Since then saw only one in the day, and only three last night. Fixed filters this AM to bring current back up in corners and they are moving about, but still only three (incl. dominance scrapping and settling in). Have not seen #4 since two nights ago. Lost one is not the smallest of group.
At what point do i start moving stones around to see if #4 is trapped and slowly croaking (or worse)? How long should one wait, as all told it's not unlikely that it's still warming up to us ?
I really kick myself for getting back into loaches.... too much emotional investment.
