What other loach should I get?

I am struggling to decided what to put with my clowns and striata in my 240g. I plan on around 8-12 clowns (currently have 6 but plan on a few more) and 2 dozen striata (currently have a dozen, thinking about 1-2 dozen more).

I'd really like to add 1 more species of loaches. I'd also like something a little more rare. Originally my idea is to add Dario which until recently I have never even seen in person. Alternatively, if they still have many left, the lfs here has kubotai on sale for $5. I do like the kubotai and consider them even though they are common here. And lastly, I hear many good things about histrionica. All these loaches are of similar size so I was thinking whatever I go with to get probably 12 of, maybe more, maybe less. All of these options fall between $4-$6 but the only local ones would be kubs.

Is there any that wouldnt be as good compatibility-wise with clowns and striata?

Stocking total will probably be on the heavy side with lots of upper dwelling fish too. I usually tend to stock heavy especially with lots of plants, and daily partial water change system.

I dont think I've ever done a poll here so hope it works right.

I checked off Kubotias only because I have a group of 12 with large Clowns and they go together great. They are in my 300 gallon planted tank.

If stocking room allows I would opt for 2 groups of Histrionica and Kubotai

bump

Just seeing if anyone else wants to take a vote :D

So far Kubotai seem the most popular followed by just getting more of what I already have. My original choice, Dario, has no votes

(BTW I wont be ordering based solely of these votes, just curious what others thoughts are thats all).

It's always nice to see larger shoals instead of several smaller shoals IMO.

Yes I am thinking the same way. However, the smallest shoal even if I added another species would be 12 I think, and if it were just 1 more species, I might even make it 24.

Histrionica. Definitely histrionica. I can't begin to explain what wonderful loaches they are.
