moving gill pimple?

Problems in 2 loach tanks, don't know if they're related(long post). Last night near fish lights out I saw 1 of my clowns flash twice. Saw a tiger barb with a pimple-like bump with a white tip on its gill cover  . Nothing on any other fish. Looked in a couple books for ideas, then studied fish again. The pimple seemed to be at the top of the gill opening now & more rounded than pyramid shaped. This a.m. pimple is inside gill, not visible except as slight bump under skin. So...I had a silver tip tetra disappear 4-5 days ago. I couldn't find the body, went through plants, caves during 35-40% water change. Figured I scooped it out removing cooked zuccini & didn't notice  . No symptoms, nothing new in tank in 5 months since adding barbs. Nitrates high this a.m.,30 ppm (from death I assume)so I'll be changing water. (55 gal. ammonia 0, NO2 0, pH 6.6, GH 75, temp 80, 6 3-4in. clowns, 8 1.5in.barbs, 1 tetra, 2 HOB filters)
Next, in 10 gal q't, 6 striatas,1.2-1.5inch, too cute couldn't resist 10 days ago. 2 nights ago saw 1 fish with a 1mmx3mm white, slightly raised oval on gill cover & smaller oval, not raised on other side. Probably not ich, but started on malachite green 1/2 dose since I had it. Spots seem smaller today. I had set up Q't with water (4-5gal), HOB filter, sm. amt gravel & 2 plants from the 55, now pimple/death tank. I am very careful of quarrantine to older tank contamination but think this may have gone the other way if these 2 diseases are related.
I think I'll continue the malachite in the Q since it seems to be having an effect. The gill pimple paracite? thing I'm not sure how to treat but I think whatever I do it will be to the entire tank. It doesn't look like pictures of gill flukes or anything else I could find. Any thoughts on treating this?these? Thanks.

Here's an update. I decided to try praziquantel after the gill pimple moved to the middle of the barb's gill slit & 1 clown loach had red gills but only on 1 side (I've never seen that before  ) I ended up with Jungle TanK Buddies Parasite Clear after driving all over. I had shops try to sell me an organo-phosphate insecticide, an herbicide!,antibiotics. (Having a chemist husband helped know what some were) All the fish thought the fizzy tabs were very exciting, bubbles to swim through & maybe giant food tabs. After 2 treatments the loach's gill is only 1/2 red, the barb's gill cover is slightly raised but all of the fish are "dancing happy" so I'm hoping 1 more round, as per directions & all will be o.k. whatever it was.
2 striatas in q't still have 1 tiny white dot each so I'm continuing malachite for now.
