Possible Rostrata in Chattanooga

Post by zmo63 » Sun Mar 16, 2008 12:17 pm

So we took a day trip to Chattanooga yesterday to see the Tennessee Aquarium and do a little LFS exploring.

At one store, we found two botia advertised as "Botia Striata" but they were definitely not striata. After looking through the directory, my best guess is Rostrata. I've looked at Dario, Emperor (yeah right), and Histrionica too, but the striping pattern I remember looks most like Rostrata.

Idiot that I was, I didn't take a picture.

So, Rostratas are fairly hard to find, yes? Is there anyone in the area who might pick these up or at least check them out?

I may be wrong about Rostrata, but if not that, they're something else also very cool. Anyone? Anyone?

Is it this hard for everyone to leave cool loaches in the store? I really want someone loachy to go get these fish so I can stop thinking about driving another 4 hours for them.
