Hello,

I have two YoYo Loaches in a well established tank with other community fish. I have read that YoYo loaches like to eat snails, but am unsure as to what size, or whether this means all snails. I have an apple snail in my small tank and would like to get one to go in with the loaches, but of course is they are going to eat it will not! :? :? :?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Can't risk both together, Linds. A lot of botiine loaches relish invertebrates.

Even though the apple snail may be big, the yoyos may follow and nip the antennae. I had a huge apple snail, and I had a dwarf puffer who stalked it around the tank. 10 dwarf puffers would have fit in the shell easily. Any snail that goes with my yoyos are gone in a week.

Do not risk snails with Loaches. Even big snails can get harassed to death.
