alright, to those of you who have been following me, you know that i have two botia striats and a clown pleco. well... the striatas think that they ARE a clown pleco, you think shoaling with a pleco is weird get ready for this...

recently one of my smaller yo-yos,hansel, (2.5") has started hanging out with the other female bristlenose pleco... i don't know why or if it's natural, but hansel now loves algae he eats it off of the glass, with the pleco, or without and he enjoys nibbling on the plants for whatever he can find. he eats the shrimp pellets and bloodworms/brineshrimp that the others get, but if i throw an algae wafer in for the plecos hansel is the first to investigate and he usually finishes it off. i'm wondering if this is normal, or if it's simply the loach's personality. he's healthy and just prefers to be a vegetarian i guess, not sure.

what's with my loaches and plecos? they're going to be sad when they go to their new home, without the plecos :(.

All my fish are foodaholics, veggie or meaty. The clown plec is very nocturnal, hardly ever out in the day. I have a clown loach I think of as the veggie loach, the only time she's aggressive is near zuccini, cuke, romaine or the anubias flower once. They & tiger barbs pick at algae but I think mostly for food specks or aufwich. Algae wafers or brine shrimp, it's all good!
