I bought 5 of these as Butterfly Plecos. I know a lot of fish are sold under this ID. I have checked the species ID and THE book, but I need a positive ID. They like the glass and stones and one loves to hang on a smooth coconut hut. One has a green sheen. They are active and eat well. The tank has extra flow and aeration. I have rocks gathering algae outside as a treat.

The keep the glass on the tank clean and this tank is in the window.

Thank you so much. I thought they might be Beaufortia kweichowensis. They are wonderful fish. Made me nervous when I saw them in a commercial LFS. The sales people didn't know what they were. I figured they were safer with me while I work on a specific tank for them. They settled in easily.
