I am waiting for my 125 gal to be finished - and would like some advice on powerheads. You use them for current and circulation, right? I have been reading online but all I can find is directed at MARINE aquariums and making the water turbulent - how would you set them up in the tank to simulate a river? I have clown loaches and will have 1 or 2 different plecos (both of which I am set on like fast moving, highly oxygenated water). I think I am passing t he angels because of the way the tank will be.
Thank you!

I bought a Koralia 4 and I am really pleased with the current provided. My fish are pleased to. They love to swim right up in it. It's got a pretty strong push to it.
In hindsight, I would've preferred a powerhead that offers filtration as well. I am hoping to find a saltwater person that will trade with me.

Hi Jade. From the main page of this site click on "articles and art" in the upper left box, then go down to the hillstream loaches info and check out "A river runs through it ", "Rivertank manifold design etc.
