Hello my name is Jacob. I am 25. I live in Toronto, Canada. I really enjoy keeping fish, Turtles and Tortoises. I have had my own tank since I was 10 and have not stopped since. I used to be into big pred's. I just sold off most of them and I really want to focus on my Plec's and Loaches.
I just set up a new tank for my Clow Loaches. The tank is mostly theirs with a few odd fish. My loach list consits of 52xCL's 1x(soon to be 4)YOYO and 3x Weather Laoch.
I keep a lot of fish mostly Pleco's, Datnoids, Loaches, and a few odd balls. I also have 2 Tortoises, 5 Turtles and 2 Dogs
I think the site is great and I want to learn more about Loaches
Thanks
Jacob

Hi Jacob
52 clown loaches is an incredible size group! they must look wonderfull interatcing together. what sort of sizes are they, and do you know how old any of them are?
how big is their new tank, and how long has it been set up for? were they in smaller groups before they got the new tank? i hope they settled in well.
have you read the species information on the main site? im afraid your weather loaches are not very suitable tank-mates for clowns and yoyos. they need much cooler water.
http://www.loaches.com/species-index/cl ... cracanthus here's the info on clowns.
http://www.loaches.com/species-index/we ... licaudatus here's the info on weather loaches.
what temperature is you tank running at? if its good for the clowns, it will be too hot for the weather loaches, imagine you being sent to live in the desert with no clothes or sun hat or sun cream. you would be quite uncomfortable. sorry to have to give you bad news.

Thaks for the welcome
The CL's are in a 60x30x30 tank. They are all about the same size 4''-4.5'' a few are smaller about 3.5''-4''. The weather loaches are not in the same tank they are in a cool tank with a Congo puffer in one half and some guppies in the other. They share the half with the guppies.
The CL's share the tank with now 3x YOYO ( picked 2 more up today and 3 more to come ) 3x L-330, 5xL-075 2x Uaru, 1x senegal bichir a few datnoids and a FM. They all came from the same source at he same time I picked them out of about 125 of them. I snagged some reall cool odd pattern CL's from the group

y I keep the tank at around 28C. I use very little light. The tank is heavily filtered. I cycled the tank for about 2.5 months. I had some clarias and dirty carp living in it to boost the process LOL
Dont be sorry no bad news here

Thanks for the help.
