Finally go this done today

All the peices after cutting, (the brown bits on the long pipe was tape - i got that off after)



Ready to be put together,



Final shape with one of the powerheads fitted, i ill just say at this point ive put the ends on the stop the loaches getting into the pipes - i'm not going to be using them until Henry (A large geophagus) moves into another tank. When i get the on 24/7 i will put a sponge around the pipe.

Well done, David. The only thing I would say is that you may find it hard to secure down at first, without there being any central struts. I would get it in place and stick some large rocks here and there onto the lengths of pipe whilst you add the substrate. And then I would make sure that some heavy-ish decor sits permanently on top of the substrate where the pipes run directly underneath, like big chunks of bogwood or good sized rocks.

I would also make sure the pipework fills with water (sorry if this sounds really obvious) and then seal both ends from the loaches until you are ready to run it. The caps look just the job for the intake end, and I would temporarily stuff some small chunks of filter sponge into the powerhead outlets just to make sure no loaches try to get in whilst it isn't running.

How long until you move Henry?
