I know my mate Andy won't mind me posting this pic, i've seen some big almorhae on this site but seeing andy's fish his beats um by a long way.
it looks as if it's going to burst.

i'm just sorry the pic doesn't do this fish justice, it had the most unusual colouring i've ever seen on an almorhae, in the tank it looked nearly orangy toneing down to a bright yellow, but as there's no light over this tank i had to rely on the flash.

wow. He must be a pretty top notch keeper to have gatata thriving in his tank.

he's got a nice little shoal of them in this tank.

Great pics of a superb looking specimen
Has he ever seen any spawning activity? That fish looks like she's on her way to getting as big as the one's hosted in the archives:

Exciting to think that it could be so
I understand the uncertainty, with the amount of hiding places in my tank it's impossible to count all the loachs at any one time, if they are startled then at the blink of an eye 27 loaches can disappear and you won't see a single one

Bully, if Andy is in the mood i would'nt mind taking all the decor out of that 8 ft tank to see if my mate has got a juvenile bobbing about and get a few pics of it.
it's gonna be a job though, he has loads of rockwork in there as well as half a forest.

It would be good to take out all the Almorhae and take pics ,just to see the differences in pattern , I suppose it would be an excuse to rake the substrate
