Panda Garra for Asian Biotope?

Hi

I am new to the forums. This website in very impressive.

I have an African Cichlid background but i am starting to plan a 33G Asian Biotope.

I would like to know if adding a Garra Flavatra to the following mix would work?

33G Planted
15-20 Harlequin Rasbora
5 - 6 Dwarf Loach
1 SAE ( i already have him, 3.5 inches and chubby)

to this i would like to add a Panda Garra (if i can find one?)

if not i will get a Bristlenose which i love but it will mess up my Asian Biotope

Garra flavatra do better in small groups and need highly oxygenated water. You need lots of water movement. They are also great jumpers, so you need a very well-covered aquarium.

thanks for the reply.
Harlequins are strong swimmers, so adding a powerhead should not be a problem, i will place it low and towards the front of the tank with smooth stones in front of the flow.

i notice that you are located in T.O. are there any local stores that keep them regularly in stock?
here in Montreal i have never seen them available locally.

I have 1 G. flavatra with 13 Dwarf loach and they get along great. All sleep in the same pipe at night. There are also P. furcatus in the same tank and Assassin snails too. Sid's are too small to control the MTS from taking over.

I highly recommend getting the Panda garra and get a few if possible, I'm trying to get more but they can't be found anywhere here. It's a beautiful and interesting fish, always on the move. When I got it I covered the whole tank and you could actually see it jump out from the water, it only did it in the beginning. Now it's settled and part of the Sid-gang as mentioned above

Mine came from The Menagerie Petshop on Parliament Street in downtown Toronto. Harold has them in relatively regularly.

These really are escape artists , especially when newly purchased , though they will settle once all avenue's of escape have been blocked ! they rival Spiney Eels for this
