Where to find rocks/stones for loach tank?

This may seem like a silly question, but just wondering where you usually get your stones/rocks for your tank from? Are there other places to go apart from LFS? I'm not sure where to get ones where it would be safe for fish (i.e. I wouldn't want any harmful particles on the rock that I don't know of).

A lot of the photos of members' tanks I've seen her and on other forums always seem to contain at least a few pieces of rocks / stones to create the 'cave effect' for their loaches.

I plan to get more rocks / stones + driftwood to create such a cave effect for my loaches. I added two pieces of driftwood and have already noticed a change in the the loaches' behaviour (i.e. being more active once I sit in front of the tank)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I find rocks and driftwood on private property (with permission) not in parks where collecting is not permitted.
I also find everything from boulders and flagstone to gravel in landscape stores. You might look at local stores that sell supplies for masons, bricklayers and landscapers.

I see a nice stone I pick it up. I have a couple of rocks in the tank I found at one of the town plantations while passing by with my bike after a night out on town :D You could say I'm a kleptomaniac when it comes to rocks, but my fish need them more than some plant.
