my clowns have had ich (it's almost been 2 months since the outbreak) and two of them (the youngest and the ones that were the most vulnerable) have little orange spots on their black stripes. i thought it was ich again until i looked at them and they haven't spread (it's been a week) and they're itty bitty ORANGE spots. water perams are normal temp is 82. they eat normally and have gained weight since ich. could it be a scar from ich?
(similar to scars in humans from the chicken pox)

Do you have any photos of the spots you are seeing?
I take it that these are not Velvet (Oodinium) spots? It's just that they often appear as though the fish has been sprinkled with 'gold dust' and it can show up more on areas of darker pigmentation. Other symptoms would be increased gill movements and flicking against the decor. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but thought I'd mention it just in case.

they are TINY and it's not velvet, i've seen it before on clowns and it looks nothing like it. it's a small depression where they had ich the worst... i'm seriously thinking that it's just a scar... they're not flashing or scratching... they're eating normally and it doesn't bug them. it's just a tiny (almost microscopic) couple of spots where they're orange and not black... i really think it's scarring from ich.
