Clown loach re-home?

Post by kaz » Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:42 pm

Hello

I am having a dilemma at the moment and wondered if there was anyone with some advice?

I have 3 clown loaches who are overdue on being moved into a bigger more suitable tank.

I originally planned to have the clowns for a year (or less) and then pass them onto my boyfriend with a far more suited 5ftx 3ft x 2.5ft. Unfortunately this is no longer an option (I am now single), although my ex has said he would still take them in the future. I dont know how long away this would be.

My other option is that when I move out of my house in June and I can move the fish up into a larger tank - but I dont think il be able to afford quite a big enough tank for them..

I did know when I bought them about how much room they would need and thought they would be getting it. However, my circumstances have changed now and I worry that keeping them in a 3ft tank wont last them until June ( I aim to get a 4ft - and this probably still wont be as much as they need).

The larger of the 3 clowns is approaching 11cm and the other two are approx 7cm and 8cm. The larger one is just getting larger and it is becoming more and more apparent each day that they need more room.

I will reluctantly re-home them to the right person. Does anyone live in South Wales that could help them out  :?:

Thanks for your time
