Hi Thomas,

I looked for it at species index but there isn´t any cruciatus there. Closest I found was Yunnanilus brevis wich did not remind me this Botias from my friend. Can you post a link to Yunnanilus cruciatus with photos?

Thanks!

Hi Marcos,

Yunnanilus cruciatus has not been exported many times before, which is why we currently have no species profile for it here on LOL.

Below is a scan from The Freshwater Fishes of Central Vietnam book, by D.V. Serov, V. K. Nezdoliy & D.S. Pavlov (ISBN 5-87317-293-5):

If you friend is able to take some closer images, we'd love to host them here on LOL in a species profile, with credit given to your friend of course. Please let us know if this is possible.

Hi Emma,

Many thanks for this book page!

I´ll let my friend know and ask him for closer shots. Actually, these are the closer shots he presented after I complained about first ones he took. Take a look: :P

Great little fish, juan! Nice pics but of course we'd like more. Are the fins really white or is that a trick of the light?
