Musical Filters

Post by Michelle.2008 » Tue Oct 28, 2008 2:50 pm

Hi all!

Thanks for the advice on my stocking and compatibility question I posted earlier (especially yours MadDuff)

Anyway, onto question number 2. I went with the advice on keeping my sids in their own tank. They have khuli's and gertrude's rainbowfish in there. It's a 29 gallon tank. The kit came with a Marineland Penguin 350 Bio-wheel HOB filter.
My 125 clown and kub tank has an eheim pro 2 2026 thermofilter (rated up to 90 gallons) and an eheim ecco 2236 (rated up to 80 gallons) running for canisters and a Aquaclear 500 HOB filter. (also has 2 koralia 3 powerheads as well)
My question is...I'm thinking of getting rid of the Aquaclear, moving the Penguin out to the big tank, moving the eheim ecco to the sid tank and purchasing an eheim 2217 (rated up to 160 gallons) for the clown tank (to replace the ecco).
Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Michelle

I'd get rid of the penguin if it were me. I think AC are the best HOB filters by far. The media lasts forever and is much easier to change.
