My LFS just had their grand opening of their Freshwater Section and I just brought home my 1st Loaches!
Khuli Loaches...they are so CUTE!

And Graeme...why do we "Grrr..." when we see them? Please tell. It is something I've missed...

Graeme tends to Grrrr! with his syncrossus and their friends, rather than pangios, i think.

the grrrrrs are nearly all the syncrossus family and quite a few of the Yasuhikotakia family especially Y eos that fish is evil.

i think to Graeme it is, :lol:
i had two eos once that my mate gave me i put them with two almorhae both a lot bigger than the eos, they had both almorhae in a corner within half an hour both frightened to come away from it, the eos were removed to a tank of their own after that show of aggression.

Congrats on your Kuhli aquisitions. Are they the P. Kuhli or the P. Oblonga (black kuhli loach? Just curious, as I love all things Kuhli :D

I 'Grrr' alot lately with me keeping and specializing in 'Grrr' Loaches.

Saying that, i do often 'Grrr' alot in the mornings when i haven't had my coffee injection..... :wink:

They look lovely! I hope you get as much fun from observing yours as I do mine..... when they venture out from where ever they are hiding at any given time.... and I added more hiding places....um...what was I thinking :!: :shock:

LOL! I recently gave up coffee for hot tea in the mornings...then gave tea up for........nothing :shock:
I honestly am surprised that I haven't 'Grrr'd' more lately than I have.

Ok...it could be that they are nibbling between my blinks or when i turn my head...but I am not sure they have been feeding in the 2 days I've had them home. I have tried at different times:

blood worms
limp lettuce in clips
flakes
spirulina brine shrimp
tubifex worms

I bought zuccini today, will saute it in the wok tomorrow & save some aside to blanch for them. I understand, too, that they benefit from garlic?? I can press some fresh & add a little of the juice to some tubifex worms, maybe?

How should I go about feeding them?
