Hello everyone,
I was observing one of my new sids swimming, pausing to shiver, then swim for a bit, then pause to shiver, then continue swimming. It almost appeared as if it was fighting the current, but that area has little to no strong current. Any ideas?
Thank you
Mike

I guess I have posted a question that has either stumped the experts or is a natural behavior of my sid.

I hope it is the latter.

Sometimes it just takes a bit to get answers.
That sounds like normal sid behavior to me. They often swim mid water and kind of hover. Does the fishes color look normal and is it eating?

Good, I was worried that I really had stumped everyone
As far as I can tell everyone is eating and active. I notcied the same behavior again today. It is odd. My wife and I are worried that this is a symptom of things to come and we dont want to lose any of these lil guys.
With the exception of my rummys, the sids have taught the rest of my tank how to have fun.
Thanks Jim!

I'm not saying there isn't a problem, but from what you have described, it doesn't sound like it to me. Hopefully someone else will chime in on this.

To me it seems your describing "the Loachy dance"
My 9 Sidths do this shoaled together as well as individually.
They swim up the front window wriggling their tails like mad, then drop down a bit to repeat it again. They can be at this for long times on end.
To me it seems like their doing this because their happy,
as my Sidth's also have spawning attempts.
