I need to get a video of this but my 3 Oblongas regularly do this very elegant loachy dance in circles along a wall of the tank that is really beautiful to watch. I have several questions about it though.
1) One of my guys always goes in a clockwise direction while the other two always go in a counter clockwise motion. (I'm not 100% sure that it is always the same fish that do this as I cannot tell them apart, but it is always one going clockwise and the other two going in a counter clockwise motion).
2) Why do they do this on the small end of the tank? Granted, I have them in a 10 gallon while I am waiting for the tank I will be putting them in to become sufficiently established. However, they always do this along one of the sides of the tank, never along the front or back of the tank.
They are nice healthy fish(really plump little guys) and seem very happy. I was just wondering if your oblongas do this.
Thanks,

Mine also loachy dance on the small end of the tank. Then they'll fly out across the whole length of the front of the tank, and then come back to loachy dance on the small end again. Fun to watch.
They are most active after a big water change, and I think they may be more active when there is going to be a big weather change (at least, it seems to me that they are.)
