Erm... pinkish "zipper loach" with red fins?

I bought these little fellows immediately after seeing them in a pet shop. I have never ever seen anything like these, they were sold as zipper loaches. Mates were ordinary coloured, altogether five had this strange colour and I bought them all. They're about 5 cm now, very active and very attractive. They differ from each other in colouring and also shape of head, but they all have carrot-red fins, tail and nose.

Any idea what on earth...?

In reality the loach is bigger than the dwarf croaking gourami

Nice! Where did you find these? Could they be young Acanthocobitis rubidipinnis?

I see a few of them seem to carry a large dorsal finage, could well indeed be juvenile Acanthocobitis rubidipinnis.

Keep us updated with pictures if you can Rapunzel.

Here's one of my male adult Acanthocobitis rubidipinnis.
