he y whats up evryone i was thinking of getting a 29 gl tank and was woundering how many or what kind of loachs i could put in a 29 gallon i know clowns are out of the question any siggetsion would be appretiated!!! thanks

I absolutely love my river-tank and I'd definately recommend this type of set-up to anyone.
Suitable inhabitants are hillstream loaches from the Schistura, Homoloptera, Gastromyzon, Sewellia etc. genuses, also Garra's, some types of Pleco, and basically any river fish that likes loads of current.
For the upper regions of the tank, you could have White clouds, Danio's or Cherry, Rosy or Denisoni Barbs.

If you don't want a river-tank, you might be able to have some of the smaller Botia species like Sids, yoyo's or zebra's - someone else will be able to advise wether your tank is big enough or not

Just have to add that a 29 gallon tank would unfortunately be too small to house adult Yo-yo's and Denisonii barbs.

khulis, sids, and striatas wouldn't be bad. they don't get too big. i have kubotais in my 30gal, but they might go over to either the 125 or the 180.

Young too. Given the insane rate of growth they have, it does not take long to go from <1" to >3", at which point the tank is no longer suitable. Unless you intend to starve them, yoyo's are not a good option.

OTOH, Kubotais are an option.
