Here is a short vid of my new tank. I have yet to decide on what I am going to put in there as dithers, so any suggestions would be appreciated?
My wife likes congo tetra but I was thinking rainbowfish!!

Beautiful, healthy fish! How many do you have in there?
Congo Tetras and Rainbowfish go very well together. I've owned both, and when they spawn, the loaches really enjoy the eggs. It's a great time to watch your tank, because the males are putting on a color show, and all the other fish go crazy over the eggs. If you get any direct natural sunlight on your tank, this REALLY brings out the color in the rainbows.

great looking fish mate, i'd go with the congos myself both the normal and the yellow, they don't hog all the food as my rainbows try to do.

Nice tank and a very nice shoal of clowns.
I'd go with congos as well. To my knowledge all rainbows thrive best in hard water. Clowns do better in soft or medium, as do congos.

This is my old 75 with a large school of Boesmani Rainbows and a few Praecox during the day time and night time. I wish I had taken a photo when the sun was shining directly on the tank, they can be stunning. Don't get me wrong, Congos are beautiful, but having owned both, I prefer rainbows.

That's a beautiful aquarium, with all the fish and plants.

Rasboras are a great choice. Mad Duff has sold me on these. They are not only beautiful, but they stay in the top half of the tank (as opposed to the danios and tetras that I have had that spend most of there time in the bottom half). They also come from the same area of the world that loaches come from and thus like soft slightly acidic water.
Your tank looks great!

trouble with alot of rasboras is they are rather plain, einthoveni and a few others are the exception.
and don't forget Keith we are talking about the lady of the house.

Mick- Yes they are plain. But I rather like the simple but elegant look. Even a group of scissortails looks spectacular with their beautiful silver sheen.

Sorry, I didn't mean to thread jack with pictures of my old tank, but my intention was to show LeStat what Boesmani Rainbows would look like with his clowns.
Harlequin Rasboras are really colorful when they mature.

i agree the harlequin is a beautiful fish but they are not suited to fast flow tanks which we need for our botias, they mostly come from slow moving streams.

Quite predictable I know but I would say Rasbora's, there are 3 or 4 of the bigger species that look stunning in shoals.
I would recomend:
Rasbora cephalotaenia
Rasbora paviei
Rasbora caudimaculata
Rasbora daniconius
Rasbora tornieri are nice but difficult to find.

out of them rasboras Mark, the most striking to me are caudimaculata ( giant scissortail) and the cephalotaenia.
colour wise and pattern.

Thankyou all for your suggestions, it appears that opinion on this subject is divided so I will let the boss decide (who am I trying to kid she was always going to have the final say anyway). I must admit to leaning towads the Boesmani Rainbows, the ones in jwyfk's pics are showing great colour (& I don't mind you showing the photos at all).
Once the new guys are in place I will post photos on here.
Bye for now

Hi all, I have finally got around to putting some dithers in with my Clowns. I bought 12 of these Rosy Tetra a few weeks back and they have now been moved into their new home, I think they are lovely and I might add another 6 to the school: -
