That one is just under 5", the orange does seem to be getting more intense as it grows, I have noticed recently that one of the other big rostratas has started filling out quite a bit so I am thinking that this is a male and he is getting his spawning colours.bslindgren wrote:Wow, I didn't know they had that much orange in the dorsal fin! How big is that fish? Some of my kubs and striatas will do the same thing, but they don't want you to get too close!
Rostrata do seem a little bit harder to come by than other botia's, I got 3 at around 2" and all just had standard rostrata markings but none of them would now resemble what we would class as standard rostrata markings.MTS wrote:He's a beauty. I don't think I've ever seen one at any of the fish stores I've been to. Was he difficult to get?
