Hi All
I'm new here and thought I'd better introduce myself first, I live near Durham in the Uk. I have 2 tanks a 90l Jewel tank with 4 Kulhi Loaches, a Salfin Pleco, 6 Panda Corys, numerous Endlers/guppies, 2 japonica shrimp, 3 red nose shrimp, numerous cherry and crystal red shrimp, 4 pencil fish, 6 spotted danios. my second tank is quite small and has 2 ottos, 2 pygmy corys and well as some shrimps and golden apple snails.
I plan to get some Barbucca diabolica but cannot seem to find any in the UK - does anyone have any idea where to get them?
Cheers
Chris

Hiya Chris, you will be very lucky to find them up here without asking for them to be ordered specially for you.
Emma had them in some time back and she may be able to let you know how often they show up on the lists as to how available they are.

Thanks for the quick replies - I alway seem to take a liking to fish that are hard to get - I'll just have to hope that they become more popular.

I dont think they will become more popular, loaches (bar clown, yoyo, zebra etc) in particular are not a group that the majority of fish keepers seek out, especially those 'unique' species they have never heard of before. Your best bet would be either (I think its Wildwoods) go onto Wildwoods/Wholesale tropicals website. They have a wish list you can add certain species to. This is how I came by my Vaillantella maassi, they now do postage now as well. You may be waiting for a few months, but I think that would be your best bet in the mean time

As the livestock buyer for an aquatics store, I get to look through a large number of suppliers lists on a weekly basis, and unfortunately B. diabolica haven't shown up since June 2007. So unless anyone still has stock leftover (very unlikely) I don't think you'll be able to find them at the moment.

They are hard to come by even in their country of origin.
