I finally found Kuhli loaches at my LFS after 5 years. So I bought on credit (nice owner). I have 20 loaches in a quarantine tank. The problem is it’s been two days and they refuse to eat. Have tried carnivore pellets, blood worms, etc etc. But no luck. Is this normal? Or is there any thing else I can do to help?.
My quarantine tank is bear of substrate, but has sufficient hiding places, and is well oxygenated.

namal, have you tried them on tubifex worms yet?, i've found all fish will eat this if they're being awkward about other foods.

Hi Mick,
tried that as well, but no luck.

.
Feeding them at night has not helped iether. Usually my loaches love the martin recipie, but no luck.
I want to treat them for parasites but worried as they have not eaten anything. Should I go ahead with the treatment any way?

What's in the q-tank? If it's a bare tank they are probably preoccupied finding a place to hide. Give them somewhere to feel secure and they may come around.

there are plenty of stones piles, tubes, driftwood and other stuff to hide under......and they mostly do that.
But I do have any empty tank which has gravel. Maybe I will shift them into that and see.
thanks

Hi
I lost a bulk of the khulis, about 7 remain and they seem to have settled in the Q tank, they still don't eat much, except for one guy who has fattened up a bit. They seem to prefer dried tubex worms and sinking chiclid food.
In a few days they will go into my main tank

Try ham it has a strong smell and my loaches love it, but make sure to cut it up, and put in sight.

Thanks Allison
They are now in the main tank, and I have not seen them for about three weeks. I assume they are still there. It is a very large tank with plenty of soft sand and hiding places.
Will try ham next time…………..Maybe I’ll try it to lure then into sight.
Thanks again
