Hello,

I've posted before and asked about my dojo who is doing well. I was wondering if it is okay to mix yo yo loaches with a single dojo loach.

I've read many different website and they all tell me different information. So I was wondering if you guys could help me out. :D

I have a 20 gallon tank. I keep the water at about 74F. I know I will have to get a couple yo yo loaches. So I know the tank size will be pushing it. I wanted to know what you guys thought before I did anything.

Yoyos are warm water loaches.
Dojos are cool water Loaches.

Most Loaches are social with their own species.

Neither of these species are a good choice in a tank less than about 4' long, especially when you get half a dozen of so that make up a good social grouping.

For a standard 20 gallon tank the only Loaches I would think of would be Sids or Kuhlies.
For a 20 long I have some of the smallest hillstream sorts of Loaches, and Darter Tetras.

Good to know.

I try to keep my water as cool as possible for the dojo to feel comfortable. That's another thing I've read mixed reviews about. Everyone will tell you something different as far as how warm the water can be.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help. I will not get any yo yo's.
