two "new" species found in the LFS

hi all
lately I found two species I couldn't identify up till now
this one is an gastromyzon, but which one?



looked already in the tank at the LFS inactive. normally I can manage this but this one died just after the change into one of my tanks. poor chap

this one could be another pseudogastromyzon

Nice finds!!
Too bad the one died.
I don't think the surviving one is a Pseudogastromyson.
To me, it looks like a Neogastromyzon.

may be you are right with borneo! the "body-system" as in picture one to see is different from pseudogastromyzon. may be Heok Hui has an idea.

the mouth is very special for borneo-types



the "solution" for the body-shape looks more familiar to borneo-types.


another question in a mail was that of my "sources" for those trouvailles. of course I check now and then the shops of department stores. most fish come on a way or another from glaser.de or mimbon.de and by two direct-importers in switzerland. to have an overview about the offer have a look at this

that's not bad, ins't it? even when loaches are rare at the moment. but schistura susannae (it it's the right one) that's a sensation in itself.

Probably I breed two fishes same as it.

When I asked it in LOL, Jim showed good information of Hypergastromyzon.

I am satisfied with identification of Jim enough.

I was able to obtain the fish three times this year.
They are mixed in Gastromyzon viriosus and seem to be received.

hypergastromyzon humilis, that's a good suggestion. as no living specimen are known to HHT it's hard to define.
I knew I saw it somewhere but didn't remeber where. and searched to far.

hi all
after mails with H.H.Tan: hypergastromyzon cf humilis is ok as (non scientific) identification. known to him from the trade since 2007.
gastromyzon: variation of zebrinus oder ridens.
thanks a lot to H.H.Tan at this place for his help.
I'll have a good look in this LFS to get more (as I heard they are planning a change of supplier!)
