I obtained two Panda Garras two days ago. Jim Powers alerted me and I got them at the same shop that he recently got his. Thanks Jim. They were supposed to get 8 in but, only 2 arrived. I can already see that they have personality and are quite beautiful.

They seem very social so I hope to get a few more.

Question for the experts that have kept Garras: What is the temperature range? I have read sources that say 71 to 80 degrees F, but other sources have a narrower range. I was planning on putting these Garras in my river tank which is 74-75 F (23.3-23.9 C), but if I can find more I am wondering if it would be reasonable to put some in my 300 gallon loach tank (Clowns, Kubotai, Striata, Rostrata, Horse faced) which is at 80 F (26.7 C). They would be quite a nice addition to the loach tank if they would be happy there.

Glad you were able to get some Keith. I know the shop will try to get more.
Here is a pic of the larger of my two.
Its about 2.25" (5.5cm) and much more outgoing than the other,1.25" (3cm) one I got.

They are great fish. I just wish I had room for more.

Great :!: You will love them and they sure will love your setup, including your waterbridge. They are very active and love to explore. Also love to vist pipes and caves frequently. Some do digging for sleeping places.

I keep mine on the cooler end (at least in the winter), they are described as being fine with temperatures from 22°C - 27°C (71,6F - 80,6F).

Thanks Wolfram. I can tell already how active and curious they are. I really do hope that I can get a few more.

I have noticed that they are good algae eaters.
Several rocks have been cleaned off already.
