Fuku-dojo (Barbatula barbatula) in the wild river

Post by odyssey » Sat Aug 15, 2009 1:21 pm

I went home to Hokkaido in a summer vacation.
Hokkaido belongs to the subarctic zone in the Japanese most north area.

I took photos and videos of several kinds freshwater fish in a river over there.
I introduce Barbatula barbatula (Noemacheilus barbatulus toni) of loachs in this forum.

I show the picture of the freshwater fish except the loach in the forum of the freshwater fish in a few days.

Video clip is in the Youtube.

Thank you for these amazing pictures. Did you take pictures of the local area? I have seen specials on this region of Japan, but it still seems very mysterious. I would love to see it through your eyes.

Hi all!
All of you seem to have enjoyed it on my video, and I am glad.

I contributed a picture and the video of the river fish of Hokkaido except the loach to a freshwater fish forum according to the notice.

"Salvelinus malma malma","Salvelinus leucomaenis leucomaenis","Hucho perryi","Tribolodon ezoe","Cottus nozawae"

Please look if you like.
