The only ones I would suggest are Sidthimunki's but they do better in groups of about 6 or more really.

I would recommend you 'up' your Pangio (Kuhli) Group. More the merrier.

More kuhlis is the obvious option, but small schisturas may be a possibility too.

I keep six what I assume to be S. Poculi's (2") in a community loach tank for almost a year now.

To make them happy, you need to compromise a bit on the temperature (<=75F), and add *some* current and air --- but they do not need a full hillstream setup. It is likely that S. Beavani's have similar needs.

Mikev. The illustrated Schistura you have advised as a compatible tank-mate is not suitable for Pangio's. Lets think on it! Availability of certain species will be low. Changing set-ups to suite the right environment for Schistura's is wrong for Pangio's and personally to much trouble for what David is asking for.

Graeme,

The needed parameters are close enough, so this is an option, especially if the tank already is run at the low-temp end of the range. I'm not advocating changing the setup, but it may be it is already an ok one.

As for the Pangio-Schistura "tankmating": they simply don't interract here.

The paremeters are close enough for a thousand fishes. The environment is not. Pangios dont just live with anyone within the same para's. Perhaps more people should think like me and try to simulate the conditions. Using words like 'OK' and 'close' is simply misleading and wrong.

You are most certainly entitled to your opinion.
