Too good to be true

Post by Martin Thoene » Sat Jul 29, 2006 9:33 am

I was doing some Internet research at work yesterday and happened on Princess Auto's name. Canada wide company. In their online catalogue in their surplus section there was a 900gph submersible pond pump listed at $29.99!!!!

They have a branch relatively close, so because the item had one of their "stock running low" logos beside it, I gave them a ring.......All gone!

Darnit! I had ideas of upgrading my Clown tank River-Tank manifold pumps on the cheap. Shame I didn't discover this site a while back.

That would be quite a bargain for that kind of flow.

Pumps

You can get quite a bit more flow for your money with an inline pond pump, but it obviously lacks some of the versatility of a submersible. Check local pond supplier or irrigation supplier.

No.... strictly surplus items. One off purchase. They have some stuff in their Surplus catalogue at insanely cheap prices, but it's not fishkeeping gear unfortunately. This was definitely a one-off and I missed the boat
