Botia Kubotai

Post by Stewey956 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 5:59 pm

I was browsing Petsmart one day and I saw the "Angelicus Botias" and thought they were pretty cool, my mother was with me.

My birthday is in a few days and she went ahead and bought me some new fish, the Botia included., but only 1.

My question is, does this guy need some playmates? So far he is doing ok and searching the ground and swimming to the higher regions of the tank, and I believe he is also eating some pest snails I had in there.

Hi Stewey,
Yes, your b. kubotai definitely needs some company. General consensus here seems to be at least 5, I think bare minimum 3! depends on your tank size/conditions/filtration/tankmates etc. Have a look at the info in the species index. Good luck with them, they're great fish!!
